Pamela K. XAverius has spoken to numerous groups on topics since as changing behaviors, changing careers, self assessment, caring for the elderly, nutritious eating, smoking cessation, and lifestyle management.

XAverius' career objectives are to improve the health of women, children, and families and to reduce health disparities among minority populations. As a doctoral student, she worked on several federally funded research projects that evaluated the impact of interventions on the health of communities. For example, one study evaluated the psychosocial, quality of life, and cost effectiveness of alternative housing on elders and their caregivers.

Her dissertation evaluated the impact of intergenerational activities on well elders, elders with dementia, and children. Upon attaining my doctorate, she accepted an appointment as a research assistant professor of psychology and oversaw a multi-million dollar community health initiative designed to decrease smoking and improve the health of military personnel across the United States. Presently, she is the MCH epidemiologist for the state of Missouri, and continue to find great satisfaction in projects that aim to improve the health of individuals in our communities.
