Campus: Downtown Kansas City Region: Midwest Contact: (816) 842-6182, ext. 5534; stevepew@park.edu Stephen Pew, Ph.D., associate professor and executive director of Master of Healthcare Leadership, has more than 30 years of healthcare administration and adjunct teaching experience, including executive management of healthcare provider organizations-hospitals, mental health organizations, physician groups, and managed care companies; consulting to hospitals, medical device manufacturers, HMOs and other large healthcare organizations; and providing board leadership and strategic direction to public and private, non-profit and for-profit organizations and businesses. His particular expertise is in the areas of database marketing, clinical outcomes analysis, physician services (recruitment, compensation and retention), media and public relations, community health, continuous quality improvement, performance management, administration and organizational development. He has extensive experience in healthcare planning and marketing, continuous quality improvement, and organizational development, with practical experience developing tools, systems, and processes that balance the mandate for measurable performance outcomes against ever-changing payment systems.
