The International Center for Music at Park University will present a cello recital with Martin Storey and his students Thursday, May 8, and a violin recital by Ben Sayevich, Thursday, May 22.

The Storey recital at 7:30 p.m. May 8 will feature the cello in solo and ensemble works of Chopin, Boccherini, Dvorak, Moor, Popper and Martinu. The Sayevich recital at 7:30 p.m. May 22, will feature the works of Beethoven, Brahms, Bloch, Greig and Saraste. Both performances will be held in the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel on Park University's Parkville Campus.

Both Sayevich and Storey are faculty members at the International Center for Music. The Center was established to foster the exchange of master teacher/performers, renowned young musicians and programs from countries around the world.

The May concert schedule originally included the Youth Conservatory for Music Gala Concert on May 18, but that was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.

For more information about the concert series, contact Robert Pevitts, executive director of the International Center for Music at (816) 584-6550 or robert.pevitts@park.edu. Additional event information can be found at www.park.edu/ata.
