Lampton, O'Rourke to present papers at management conference Jolene A. Lampton, Ph.D., assistant professor of accounting and management at the Austin (Texas) Campus Center, and Vincent O'Rourke, Ph.D., assistant professor of management, Hill Air Force Base Campus Center, Ogden, Utah, and College for Distance Learning regional director, will present papers during the Midwest Academy of Management's 51st annual conference, Oct. 2-4 in St. Louis. Lampton's paper is titled "Succession Strategies for Management Educators" and O'Rourke's paper is titled "Systems Revisited: Learning From the Past to Help the Future." October 2, 2008, 1:11 pm Dennis presents at distance learning conference October 2, 2008, 1:10 pm Kay Dennis, Ed.D., assistant professor of adult education, College for Distance Learning, presented a case study during the 2008 Distance Learning Administration Conference, June 22-25, in Jekyll Island, Ga. Dennis' presentation was on "Instructor with Low Student Evaluations--A Constructive Corrective Action Plan," and it was published in the conference proceedings. McArthur to present at literature festival Debra McArthur, director of academic support services, will be a featured author at The Writing Conference, Inc.'s. 15th annual Literature Festival, Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Middle school and high school students and teachers will interact with McArthur during a general presentation and small group sessions discussing literature. Those attending will have already read McArthur's book Raoul Wallenberg to discuss with their peers. Laurie DiPadova-Stocks, Ph.D., professor of public administration and dean of the Hauptmann School for Public Affairs, previously served as academic advisor from 2004-08, and is currently in her third year of service on the ASPA National Council.
