The event will feature Fisal Hammouda, a well-known inspirational speaker, teacher, counselor, engineer and Muslim scholar who will lead a discussion on Islam and common misconceptions regarding the religion. Other sponsors include the Islamic School and Cultural Center of Greater Kansas City. The event is free and open to the public. The World Student Union and the Office of International Student Services strive to provide students with events that help us to realize our similarities while celebrating our differences and help to dispel stereotypes and correct misinformation so that we can truly begin to understand different cultures and beliefs.
