Park University to Host High School Model United Nations ConferenceBy Summer A. Evans - March 30, 2005 - 2:51 pmEmail this article | Printer friendly page | Media Inquiries Park University will host its first Model United Nations (UN) for high school students in the northern Kansas City metropolitan area on April 15-16 at the Parkville, Mo. campus. The Leavenworth, Liberty, Louisburg and Immaculata high schools will each bring 20 delegations representing various member countries of the United Nations. Led by student members of the Park University Model United Nations team, the high school students will simulate how diplomats from these countries work together to solve some of the world's most pressing problems. In preparation for this conference, the Park University Model UN team conducted a teacher's training workshop last month for both high school teachers and their leading student delegates. |
