Park University nursing students are promoting healthy lifestyles at the annual Health Fair on Thursday, Apr. 28 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the lower level of McAfee Memorial Library in the Academic Underground at the Parkville campus. The Health Fair is free and open to the public.

The Health Fair will offer free blood pressure screening, blood glucose screenings, as well as health information on nutrition, weight management, domestic violence, sexually transmitted infections, depression, anxiety, and much more.

The Health Fair is a part of the capstone project for the NU 260 clinical course. The nursing students are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the results of the event. It is based on the population health objectives as noted in the Healthy People 2010 document, which is the federal guideline for improvement of population health in the United States.
